COM2063 The Internet, Culture and Comm This interdisciplinary course focuses on the impact of the Internet and web based technologies upon culture and communication. Students examine how the Internet, by promoting new behaviors for managing information and conducting relationships, is changing our economic, social, governance and educational institutions. In addition, students investigate novel challenges to issues such as economic inequalities, intellectual property, personal privacy and censorship. The course will explore the ways in which the Internet has dramatically amplified the potential for human interactions and awakens fresh perspectives upon the intersection of culture and communication.
