BIO3021 ST: Neuroscience Neuroscience is a multidisciplinary study that attempts to answer major questions about human thought and consciousness: How does the brain give rise to the mind? What is the nature of consciousness? Specific topics include basic neuroanatomy and physiology; sensory perception; and attention, learning, and memory. A major theme of this course will be on the neurological underpinnings of ASD, ADHD, and learning disorders. Emphasis will be placed on relating molecular, cell, and systems of physiology; analysis of experimental data; understanding principles of neuroscience in the context of daily life and understanding the importance of neurodiversity in humans.
