ACC1011 Financial Accounting This course introduces accounting principles, procedures, and practices for a quantitative aspect of the AA-Business, BA-COMEL curriculum. The accounting cycle, which emphasizes collecting, classifying, summarizing, and reporting financial information, is studies. Students will learn the difference in accounting practices for sole proprietorships, merchandisers, and our corporations and financial analysis techniques. This is a hands-on course that emphasizes accounting procedures for everyday business transactions. QuickBooks will be used to apply concepts and teach industry-standard accounting practices. Students will learn accounting principles through readings, videos, guided examples, and application exercises. The course will culminate in analyzing a publicly traded corporation in which students will apply all topics learned during the course. Credits: 3.000
