ART1221 3D Design: Form, Shape, Structure This course introduces students to the three-dimensional format. Students will explore and gain experience with the processes, tools, and materials at the core of three-dimensional art. The course has two primary objectives: first, to guide students in creating three-dimensional objects, and second, to foster the development of their powers of observation, evaluation, and self-expression. It encompasses an exploration of various methods, materials, and a study of the work of artists worldwide. Through a structured series of problem-solving assignments, instructional sessions, technical demonstrations, and engaging discussions, students will embark on a journey to discover the unique phusical potentials and limitations of diverse materials. In addition to these core aspects, the course extends its reach to explore Environmental Eart Art, the use of sustainable and recyclable materials, and the creation of site-specific art installations.
