WRT3011 Advanced Writing In this advanced writing course, students deepen their understanding of writing, rhetoric, and the social construction of knowledge across disciplines and discourse communities, while strengthening their ability to communicate effectively in a variety of rhetorical situations. Students build on the academic reading, writing and research skills covered in first-year writing courses as they engage in writing projects requiring more advanced analytical and information literacy skills. Students will expand the range of rhetorical approaches that they can employ in their writing for upper-level college courses as well as in public and professional discourse communities beyond the college classroom.
