THE3016 ST:Acting in Contemporary American Plays In Acting in Contemporary American Plays, students learn about diversity, freedom, and trends at the forefront of contemporary American plays (1900 to present). Part acting studio, lecture, and playground students read, question, act, and relate to plays that speak to their current world. Focusing on American playwrights who are part of the BIPOC or LGBTQ+ students encounter the dynamic, inclusive, playful, and charged plays emerging from today’s Theater. Students will also engage with guest artists from the Theater community who are leaders in making the stage more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Credits: 3
