ECN2012 PV:Principles of Economics


This course offers a dynamic exploration of economic principles that shape individual choices, business strategies, and national policy. Students will develop an understanding of economic thinking, necessary to the AA-Business and BA-COM-L programs. Key topics include price elasticity and its influence of consumer behavior and strategic dynamics of market structures, and the impact of government intervention and externalities on market outcomes. The course also examines the banking system and money supply, providing insight into how financial institutions support economic stability. Students will analyze indicators of national economic growth such as GDP and evaluate how fiscal and monetary policies intersect with broader economic goals. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to interpret economic data, assess policy implications, and apply economic data, access policy implications, and apply economic reasoning to real world scenarios.
