MAT1642 PV:Quantitative Math


This course focuses on developing students’ quantitative reasoning skills through real-world applications in personal finance, health, social issues, and more. The goal is to help students gain confidence and competence in using mathematical concepts to make informed decisions in daily life. Topics include numerical literacy, proportional reasoning, interpreting graphs, statistics, and critical thinking. Quantway emphasizes collaborative problem-solving and active participation, allowing students to engage in practical scenarios and discussions that relate directly to their experiences and future careers. Designed as an alternative pathway to traditional algebra courses, Quantway prepares students for courses requiring quantitative skills and fulfills the general education math requirements.
