THE3011 PV:Advanced Theater Solo Performance In this advanced studio course, students will explore the art of solo performance through both historical study and practical application. The course begins with an examination of key solo performances across history in a range of styles and mediums including theater, improvisation, movement, radio plays, stand-up comedy, video, and sound-based work. Building on this foundation, students will develop the tools and techniques necessary to create original solo pieces. Through guided workshops, individual experimentation, and critical feedback, each student will generate and refine their own material, culminating in a public performance. While the class will include collaborative exercises and discussions, significant emphasis will be placed on self-directed work. In addition to in-class work, students will engage in writing, rehearsal, and creative development outside of class. Credits: 3.000
