The Associate of Arts in Business (AA-BUS) degree at Landmark College develops basic knowledge of business needed for an entry-level administrative support or managerial position or to pursue continued studies in a business related field. Our goal is to prepare students to be independent thinkers with the skills necessary to analyze information to make sound decisions based on data and projections and to communicate decisions effectively.
To earn the AA-BUS students must complete 61 credits which includes the general education core, (25 credits not met by major requirements), 21 credits of additional major requirements, and 15 credits of open electives.

General Education Requirements: 31 credits
25 credits plus 6 major requirements that also fulfill general education requirements
- WRT1011 Composition and Rhetoric 3 credits
- WRT1012 Research and Analysis 3 credits
- EDU1011 Perspectives in Learning or EDU1001 Foundations in Learning 3 credits
- COM1011 Introduction to Communication 3 credits
- MAT1311 Mathematical Ideas , MAT1321 Statistics , or MAT1641 College Algebra or higher. ( MAT1541 Intermediate Algebra cannot be used to satisfy any distribution requirement) 3 credits
- Humanities (HIS, LIT, PHI,REL, or BIO2041 Bioethics ) 3 credits
- Natural Science with Lab course ( BIO, CHE, GEO or NSC) 3 credits
- Social Sciences
- Quantitative Reasoning ACC1011 Principles of Accounting I (also a major requirement) 3 credits
- Interpersonal Communication / Creative Expression ( ART, BUS, CER, COM, CRW, DRW, JRN, MUS, PHO, PNT, THE, VID) 3 credits
Major Requirements: 21 credits
6 credits also fulfill general education
Open Electives: 15 credits
15 credits any level
Only 6 - 1 credit courses allowed
