EDU0921 Special Top: Found in Liberal Education

In this Foundations in Liberal Arts non-credit course students will be exposed to the background knowledge typically assumed of college freshmen. The background knowledge would provide the historical context, theoretical basis, intellectual/academic vocabulary, and a contemporary context of concepts, issues, theory that encompass a liberal arts curriculum. Reading and writing assignments represent typical assignments encountered in multiple liberal arts courses, such as history, science, sociology, and psychology. Students will acquire a greater understanding of the academic discourse within each discipline of study as they learn to apply different modes of thinking that create the framework for their understanding.
