MAT2732 Calculus I This course is an introduction to the calculus of functions of one variable. This will include an understanding of the concepts of limits, continuity, the definition of the derivative, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus; techniques and applications of differentiation; and basic integration, including integration by substitution. Topics will be presented with a level of depth and rigor appropriate for students pursuing degrees in technical fields such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or the physical sciences. Graphing calculators (required) will be used extensively throughout the course. Placement test and/or prerequisite of MAT2731 with a grade of C or higher is required. This course is offered every fall and spring semester. Not open to students with credit in MAT2833 or similar course. Credits: 3.000
