PSY2021 Child Development

Child development focuses on the physical, cognitive, and social - emotional changes between conception and adolescence. Students will learn to ask and answer the types of questions that a developmental psychologist would, and they will study the interplay between nature and nurture in development. This course has an experiential component in which students observe children in off-campus sites, providing opportunities to apply theory. Students will be asked to think critically and demonstrate their learning by completing a variety of assessment activities which may include projects, papers, presentations, discussions, and exams.
