AT1920 Chamber Ensemble Level III This course is offered to students who have passed AT1710 and AT1910 in order to develop their skills in performing chamber music from many diverse styles and eras. Repertoire will be different from their experience in AT1710 or AT1910 . Students will synthesize and exhibit the skill sets necessary to read music, to play in an ensemble setting and to perform in public. The emphasis in this course is on refining and continuing to develop music reading, performance and musical interpretation skills. Students will play one of the instrumental lines in the Chamber Music Repertoire’s compositions or arrangements. Successful completion of AT1710 and AT1910 are the prerequisites for this course. Students are required to attend one rehearsal per week and to participate in campus performances during the semester. Credits: 1
