ART4001 BA Studio Arts Capstone As the culminating course of the BA in Studio Arts (BASA) degree, the Capstone Course enables students to apply their technical skills and critical knowledge in a self-directed and sustained process of art production that concludes in a public exhibition of a cohesive body of work. This work represents a synthesis of their interests, abilities, and learning in the program. In addition to their studio work, students in the capstone course will meet in a seminar format to present their work in progress, critique each other’s work and gain critical feedback from art faculty. This course is only open to BASA students in their last semester of the program. Students must have completed, or be taking, all of the BASA course requirements that will allow them to graduate at the end of that final semester. Successful completion of the Capstone Preparatory Course, which results in a signed “Capstone Plan Form” is a prerequisite. Credits: 3.000
