MAT1541 Intermediate Algebra This course consists of instruction in the math skills necessary for success in College Algebra, MAT 1641 . Topics include: solving linear and quadratic equations, solving systems of equations and inequalities, factoring, using functions, polynomials, exponents, and radicals, and graphing functions with and without a calculator. NOTE: The credits from this course only count toward elective choices. An additional credit math course is necessary to fulfill the Associate’s degree credit math requirement. Placement test and/or prerequisite required. This course is offered every fall and spring semester. This course is not open to students who have credit in MAT 1641 or its transfer equivalent.
