MAT2751 Discrete Mathematics Discrete mathematics is the study of discrete concepts such as finite sets and structures. These concepts are used to model and implement solutions to a variety of ordinary and technical problems. This course is appropriate for mathematics, engineering, and computer science students. Topics include mathematical notation, formal logic, techniques of proof, sets, graphs, relations, functions, counting, combinatorics, and probability, with an emphasis on applications in computer science.
