Liberal Studies, B.A.

A Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies (BA-LST) from Landmark College is an interdisciplinary program that is responsive to individual students’ academic interests and professional goals. The program is designed to help students explore complex questions, analyze and critique societal programs, and engage responsibly with their communities.

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, students should be able to:

  • Draw connections across multiple disciplines to integrate learning;
  • Use critical thinking to examine multiple perspectives on issues;
  • Understand the impact of culture on values, assumptions, and worldview;
  • Communicate with a sense of audience and purpose;
  • Apply ethical reasoning to solving problems;
  • Engage in community-based activities that demonstrate civic responsibility.

To earn the B.A. in Liberal Studies degree, students must complete 121 credits.

A maximum of 54 elective credits may be applied to this degree.
