HU2151 Mythology


An overview of the central myths and legends that shaped the classical Greek and Roman imagination and provided the sources that artists from the classical age to the present have drawn upon to create their works. Through a variety of readings, films, art and theatrical works, students become conversant with the epic stories of the gods and heroes–their origins, variants, importance in Greek and Roman society, and continuing impact on Western civilization.
