BIO1631 ST: You Are What You Eat One of our most fundamental relationships - our relationship to FOOD - will be used as a theme to integrate our understandings of biology, ecology, health, and environmental science. Some of the questions we’ll explore: Is it true that “you are what you eat”? How does diet affect our health, thinking and performance? Where does our food come from and why does it matter? Can our relationship to food lead toward a healthier and more sustainable planet? We’ll look at innovations in agricultural science and connect with some of the ecologically conscious farms and farmers in southern Vermont. We’ll even do some cooking and learn about acid, salt, sweet, and hot. It’s guaranteed to make you a better cook! Credits: 4.000
